Dennis Silva II

Dennis Silva II, 28, is the author of this blog, which focuses on local, national and regional sports, though with a heavy emphasis on his favorite teams: the Houston Rockets, Houston Texans and the Houston Astros. The blog also dives into the world of sports media, particularly print journalism.

Dennis was born in San Antonio and has lived in Texas all his life, with much of that time spent in Houston. He graduated from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio and has been involved in sports journalism and newspapers since 2005, in Katy, Houston, Laredo and Corpus Christi. Prior to joining the newspaper industry, he contributed articles on the NBA for various online websites and also served an internship as content writer for the Houston Rockets’ organization. His primary beats as a sports editor in Houston and Laredo the last six years have been high school sports, college basketball and softball, minor league baseball and indoor football. He is currently a freelance sports writer while initiating a career in writing and editing books.
